I took a leap of faith today and I can't believe how it has paid off! Last year I had written a manuscript for a one-woman show. I gave four performances but couldn't seem to market myself and drum up any more "takers." So I set my manuscript aside, grateful for the opportunity to have done it.
This year, within one week, I had 3 people ask me about my program and it got me thinking that maybe I should think about pursuing it again. Well...... today I tweeked my manuscript with corrections that were suggested to me by a museum (it's a historical representation). I contacted a lady I know that had the right contacts I needed, hoping that she'd simply read over my manuscript and give me her thoughts as to whether or not I should pursue it further. Instead, she offered to showcase me in her tea house with my "one-woman show" bi-weekly for the rest of the year! YIKES!!!!! Be careful what you wish for! :)
